Dr. Brian Son

General Dentist

Dr. Brian Son grew up in South Korea and moved to Canada when he was a teenager.

He completed his high school and university studies in Winnipeg and earned his degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Brian enjoys all aspects of dentistry and in his time off, he enjoys travelling, playing soccer, and golf.

Dr. Sarah Kim

General Dentist

Dr. Sarah Kim received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University. After graduating as an honours student, she completed general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. Through residency, she gained valuable experience working with an extremely diverse pool of patients, and learned to manage dental emergencies and practice evidence-based dentistry.

Dr. Kim is passionate about continuing education in all fields of general dentistry and believes that patient-centered care is essential to achieve ideal treatment outcomes. She is experienced in performing a wide range of procedures, including crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, and extractions.

Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, baking, traveling, and dining out with her loved ones.
Dr. Jeff Kim, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Jeff Junpyo Kim was born in South Korea and has been a long term Vancouverite since his youth.

After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia, he then completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Before coming back to Vancouver, he worked as a full-time dentist for several years in Yukon Territory experiencing the true north and obviously the subzero climate.

He continuously invests his time in learning modern dental technology and trend by taking on-going continuing education courses and seminars, in order to provide the best dental care to his community.

Dr. Jeff Junpyo Kim focuses primarily on difficult surgery components in dentistry including: implants, wisdom teeth extraction, gum grafting procedure, and root canal treatment. He tailors each treatment planning based on each patient's needs in order to fulfill what would be the best outcome.

He also loves teaching outside of his work, in which he provides in-depth training and knowledge to other dentists by providing invaluable feedback and comments.

He is currently a faculty member in Korean International Dental Association (KIDA), alumni in GIIA Implant Institute, and WISE Implant Institute.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing tennis with his friends quite frequently after his work.

Likewise, he has been intensively studying about wine, sake, spirits, and coffee, for which he currently holds WSET Level 3 in Wines, Sake, Spirits, and Specialty Coffee Association Diploma.
Dr. Mozhgan Mohebi

General Dentist

Dr. Mozhgan Mohebi earned her first DMD in 2009 in Iran and upgraded his knowledge and experience in Implantology and cosmetic dentistry by attending courses in 2013.

In 2023, Dr. Mohebi fulfilled her Canadian Dental Equivalency process and achieved her board certification as a general dentist in Canada.

She has about 14 years of experience in general dentistry with an outstanding ability in veneer and cosmetic dentistry. She looks forward to meeting you and taking care of all your dental needs.

In her free time, Dr. Mohebi enjoys hiking, biking, and reviewing new scientific articles.
Dr. Smit Vekaria

General Dentist

Dr. Smit got his D.D.S from University of Gujarat in western India. With a strong patient- centric approach, he spent a few years working as a dentist in India. He migrated to Canada in 2017 after which he challenged the Canadian Dental Board Exams and cleared all in first attempt with top notch scores. His love for nature and outdoors brought him to Western Canada. Before joining Highgate Dental, Dr. Smit worked in Langley and North Shore.

His expertise lies in restorative, prosthetic and esthetic dentistry. He takes special interest in Oral Surgeries, Implants, Invisalign and full- mouth rehabilitation and continues to polish his skills with continuous education. He also excels in root canal treatment, crowns and bridges. Impressed by his work, he got an opportunity to coach internationally trained dentist who are currently in their licensing process.

When not in clinic, you would find him hiking to conquer mountain peaks and working on his physique.
